Distributed mainly south from Kanto, the central part of Japan. Causes leaf blight on Briza plants. Disperses by scattering conidia. Teleomorph unknown.

Morphology:
 Teleomorph: Unknown
 Anamorph: On olive brown to brown conidiophores,  producing conidia straight or rarely curved, pale brown to brown, subcylindrical, wider at the middle, 33-80 x 10-17 um, with 2-7 pseudosepta.
