Asia and Pacific participants were updated for the progress of a Moonshot Goal 5 project on pest controls with no chemical use in the occasion of CBD COP15 held in Montreal, Canada (December 7-20, 2022). Over 30 participants again welcomed the information shared and reacted with their excitement to foresee substantial reduction of chemical use in the future food production, which will address one of the biodiversity concerns.
In response, some eagerly wished to see the actual laser shooters while others understood the mechanism to avoid mis-shooting to pollinators (with proper pest identification).
