A symposium "Current Trends and Perspectives of IoT /AI Technologies in the Livestock Industry" was held successfully at convention hall 200, Epochal Tsukuba on October 24 and 25, 2019. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan supported the symposium and Dr. Yoshihiro Wakabayashi attended for an opening remark and Dr. Jeffrey M. Bewley from Alltech Inc, United States of America and Dr. Ilan Halachmi from ARO, Israel gave keynote lectures on "Precision dairy opportunities and challenges" and "Current trends and perspective of precision livestock farming (PLF) with relation to IoT data and science tools". After the presentations from the researchers, participants discussed future prospects in order to contribute to the spread of smart livestock technology suitable for the Asia-Pacific region.
