Classification: Deuteromycotina, Hyphomycetes

Collected from Musa balbisiana Colla in Okinawa main island, the most southern part of Japan. Known to cause black-tip of banana fruits and parasitize Musa, but the disease has not yet been reported in Japan. Usually grows on rotten fruits as a saprophyte. Disperses by scattering conidia. Teleomorph unknown.

Morphology:
 Teleomorph: Unknown
 Anamorph: Conidiophores brown, after producing conidia at the tips, proliferating successively, 6-10 um wide, swollen to 13-16 um at the portion of conidial formation. Conidia straight or slightly curved, olive brown to brown, obpyriform or obclavate, scar wide and darker, 35-150 x 13-25 um, with 3-13 pseudosepta.
