Summary
Senior Researcher Dr. Kazumi Funane of the Applied Microbiology Division of the National Institute of Food Research (NFRI) attended the 10th Carbohydrate Bioengineering Meeting, and gave a poster presentation about a novel enzyme which is essential for producing isomalto-oligosaccharides from starch. Dr. Funane also participated in three other poster presentations as a co-presenter, and made a flash presentation. All works were supported by the Program for Promotion of Basic and Applied Researches Innovations in Bio-oriented Industry (BRAIN, Japan).
