In Prediction and Control Research Group, currently we are tackling the following projects: the pest image diagnosis by artificial intelligence, the pest prevalence prediction using historical survey records, the application for pest monitoring, the nutrient controlling system for plant cultivation and so on. Our aim is to deliver the results of these projects to the public via WAGRI (Agricultural Data Collaboration Platform: https://wagri.net/ja-jp/), which is a data-sharing platform for official, educational, and commercial purposes.
In addition, in collaboration with other departments of NARO, we are also engaged in research for development and applications of 3D crop models, environmental models for sustainable fertilizer production and models of symbiosis between organisms and crops.
