The next symposium of the International Working Group on Plant Viruses with Fungal Vectors will be held in Obihiro, Hokkaido. The IWGPVFV was created following an initiative of Prof. Chuji Hiruki at the 5th International Congress of Plant Pathology in Kyoto, Japan, with the objective of providing a forum to trigger international collaborations and pluridisciplinary initiatives on soil-borne viruses transmitted by fungal vectors (even if such vectors are now somewhat considered as "protists"),,,
