The 5th bilateral symposium of the Institute of Food Research, NARO (NFRI) and the Korea Institute of Food Research (KFRI) aimed at strengthening joint research collaboration was held at the NFRI Auditorium Hall on September 6,2016. NFRI Director General Dr. Hiroshi Nabetani and KFRI Deputy Director Dr. Young Chul Lee gave the opening address. In Session 1, various lectures were presented on the post harvest technology and in Session 2 lectures were presented about functional food. There was a lively exchange of opinions about the research in both countries. Also they discussed about the next fiscal year issues and proposals for joint research.
