A delegation led by Dr. Matthew Morell, Director General of the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) with Mr. Oliver Frith, Head of Business Development, IRRI made a courtesy visit to NARO on August 29, 2019. NARO Vice President Dr. Atsuro Matsuda and Dr. Matthew Morell explained briefly about the overview of NARO and IRRI respectively. Then the delegates actively exchanged opinions with Dr. Ryoji SASAKI, Director General, Institute of Crop Science, Dr. Tomonari WATANABE, Director General, Institute for Agro-Environmental Sciences, Dr. Hiroshi KATO, Director, Genetic Resources Center and researchers.
