The delegation had a greeting session with President Dr. Kyuma after visiting Tsukuba Agriculture Research Hall. Followed by that, they visited the experimental paddy field, the automated GHG measurement facility and the Natural Resources Inventory Museum of Institute for Agro-Environmental Sciences (NIAES), and listened to the explanation of "Mechanism of methane (CH4) emission from paddy field and suppression method", "Automatic measurement system and method of greenhouse gases (GHG)", "1-km mesh agricultural weather data system" and "Soil CO2 absorption visualization site". In the large conference room of the NIAES main building, the Institute of Agricultural Machinery (IAM) gave an explanation and introduction of "Collaboration Demonstration of Smart Agricultural Machinery in Thailand". Throughout the visit, several opinions and views were lively exchanged. The APO Secretariat's understanding of the specific technology content and utilization image of NARO's Center of Excellence program (Climate-smart Agriculture), which will start this year, has deepened.
