On October 4, 2023, members of the Malaysian Parliament and senior officials from Malaysia's Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living visited NARO. Vice President Dr. KATSUTA, in charge of international cooperation, gave an overview of the NARO, and the Office of Sustainable and Smart Agri-food Systems introduced the "Smart Paddy Field Agricultural Technology and Demonstration Test," and the Hokkaido Agricultural Research Center introduced the "Smart Dairy Technology." The Malaysian government delegation was highly interested in smart agricultural technology, and there were active discussions on access to accumulated data from farmers and introduction of smart agricultural machines.
