On May 15, 2024, a delegation led by Ms. Li Hongxi, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture of Taiwan, visited NARO.
After the greetings from Director General Ms. Li Hongxi, Vice President Dr. NISHIDA delivered a welcome speech and presented an overview of NARO. The WAGRI Promotion Office Head gave a presentation about an overview of WAGRI, the state of API utilization and development, and examples of WAGRI utilization. Then, the Administrator of Smart Agri-food Systems presented the background of NARO's efforts in smart agriculture technology, the demonstration project, examples, and presented a video on the smart agriculture. After that, the Section Chief introduced a smart agriculture strategy in Taiwan. The delegation visited the Incubation Laboratory, the Head of the Data Research Promotion Office presented an overview of the Incubation Laboratory and explained the related achievements. The delegation also visited the Tsukuba Agricultural Research Hall and showed great interest in NARO's work.
