On April 17, 2025, the Malaysian Parliament delegation visited NARO. The delegation consisted of eight people including three members of Parliament: H.E. Datuk Amzad, H.E. Dato' Ngeh, and H.E. Dato' Azman.
Vice President Dr. SUZUKI Takako, in charge of evaluation and public relations, gave the welcome remarks, followed by a presentation of NARO's overview. The delegation then visited NARO Tsukuba Plant Factory, where Dr. ISOZAKI Masahide, Manager of the Division of Greenhouse Productivity Research, gave a tour of the Plant Factory, including growing rooms for tomatoes and paprikas.
After that, they visited the Incubation Laboratory, where Dr. YONEMARU Junichi, Head of the Incubation Lab, presented on the impact assessment of climate change on crop quality and yield and introduced the Robotics Agro-environment Emulator to them.
The delegation was highly interested in those technologies, and there were active discussions throughout the visit.
