Our group conducts research across the entire dairy food chain, from dairy cow management and raw milk quality evaluation to distribution and consumption. We develop ICT-based systems that enable the simple and continuous collection, integration, and use of diverse data, including behavioral data obtaind from farm images and sensors, milk composition data, and consumer preference and sensory evaluation data.
Using these data, we build models to assess the condition of individual cows, support cow behavior and herd management, predict raw milk quality, and evaluate the sensory quality and consumer preference of milk. We also aim to advance a smart, data-driven dairy value chain by integrating data, models, and research outcomes across different fields.
Through these activities, we seek to support the stable production of high-quality raw milk that meets consumers preferences, while contributing to a sustainable and attractive dairy industry.
