27. National survey on animal health conditions of grazing cattle in 2000

Japanese

Data on environmental conditions, productivity, and animal health conditions were obtained from 701 cattle grazing fields throughout Japan in 2000.  Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, and the results were compared with the results of the survey conducted in 1970.  Cumulative incidence and proportions of dead animals  significantly decreased during the last 30 years, which indicated an improvement of animal health conditions on the cattle grazing fields in Japan.
