The Horticultural Robotics Group develops robotics technologies and promotes their application in greenhouse horticultural production to enhance the competitiveness of facility-based agriculture. Our research focuses on realizing a just-in-time (JIT) production system that aligns the peak harvest period and yield of strawberries with high-demand seasons. In addition, we conduct research and development aimed at establishing plant factories as a growth industry, including the production of valuable compounds using rice in modular plant factory systems.
