Overview
The 16th "Food and Agriculture Science Cafe in Fukuyama" is organized to facilitate an open communication about food, agriculture and science with the general public in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere focusing on the research topic on various crops and agricultural techniques of the Western Region Agricultural Research Center(Kinki, Chugoku and Shikoku Regions), NARO. The theme of this Science Cafe is "New Rice Story ~ From noodles to risotto ~ " focusing on "Fukunoko" rice variety with high amylose content suitable for making noodles. New rice varieties suitable for making sushi and risotto will be introduced as well. There will be noodle tasting after the lecture. Please feel free to join us.
