NARO signed a MOU with All-Russia Research Institute of Plant Protection

NARO has signed a collaborative Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the All-Russia Research Institute of Plant Protection on September 2, 2016 at Pacific port city of Vladivostok where the Eastern Economic Forum and Japan-Russia summit meeting discussion was held.
This MOU aims for the development of agriculture and food industry in both Japan and Russia.
In the future, NARO will work in collaboration for the development of the control technology of potato virus and viroid disease, crop protection, virology, and developments in the field of mycology and plant disease resistance.
This MOU is included in the "Japan-Russia Cooperation Plan," which was also discussed at the forum presented by the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in May this year to President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation
