NFRI Poster Presentation at the 28th IAPRI Symposium on Packaging

Dr. Hiroaki Kitazawa, Senior Researcher of Postharvest Science and Technology Unit, Institute of Food Research, NARO presented a poster entitled "A Packaging System Proposal to Prevent Repetitive-Shock-Induced Berry Drop in Grapes" in the 28th IAPRI Symposium on Packaging held at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland on May 10-12, 2017. The International Association of Packaging Research Institutes (IAPRI) is an international membership association to promote and advance packaging research and education. The IAPRI Symposium was attended by over 130 delegates from 20 countries.

The poster attracted many participants and there were several inquiries regarding the rights of authority and practical application of the proposed method. New information about the current status of grape packaging in overseas was obtained during the interaction with the participants.

This study was supported by "Scheme to revitalize agriculture and fisheries in the disaster area through highly advanced technology" from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan.
