"Strategy for smart agricultural system in fruit tree research: breeding new varieties and sustainable/stable production with labor-saving technology"

Objectives

The international peer review meeting aims at evaluating the research programs of NARO based on the scientific quality and direction from the view point of overseas reviewers. The international peer review for 2019 focuses on two research programs, namely, fruit tree and agricultural machinery. In this meeting, the NARO research program on fruit tree with the theme "Strategy for smart agricultural system in fruit tree research: breeding new varieties and sustainable/stable production with labor-saving technology" was evaluated.

Each research project is evaluated with the following rating. S: high quality and no revision needed; A: good quality and minor revision needed, B: fair quality and moderate revision needed, C: fair quality and major revision needed, D: poor quality and a complete rewrite needed. Additionally, the peer reviewers provide rating, comments, suggestions and recommendations for each research project and the entire research program.
