The Food and Fertilizer Technology Center (FFTC) in collaboration with the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) and NARO organized a seminar on "Advanced Breeding Methods for Stress-tolerant Food Crops" at the JIRCAS Headquarters on November 24-25, 2016. The seminar aimed to bring together key researchers on crop breeding for stress tolerance, share the current state of knowledge of advanced crop breeding methods, and establish an informal network committed to information sharing and collaborative research. The participants included representatives from Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Japan.
