The Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences Islamic Republic of Iran, Prof. Mohammad Shahedi Baqkhandan visited the NARO Headquarters on January 16, 2018 and met with and met with NARO President Tokio Imbe and Vice-President Kazumasa Shioya. He also visited the Tsukuba Agriculture Research Hall and the NARO Institute of Food Research. Prof. Baqkhandan discussed research on food safety including measures against acrylamide, mycotoxins and mycotoxygenic fungi with researchers at NFRI.
