On January 23, 2020, Associate Professor Dr. Pongphen Jitareerat, the head of the Division of Postharvest Technology, School of Bioresources and Technology, and three other associate professors of King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand, visited NARO. They discussed issues pertaining to food science research with Dr. MATSUDA, the vice president of NARO and NARO food scientists, and concluded the meeting by agreeing to keep in contact with a view to holding further discussions on the possibility of research collaboration between KMUTT and NARO in the future. They also visited the Institute of Food Research, NARO (NFRI) and went on a tour of the laboratories and the Tsukuba Agriculture Research Hall to gain an understanding of the research activities of NARO.
