We develop evaluation methodologies for beneficial components and hazardous factors in agricultural products and foods using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers, mass spectrometers (MS), stable isotope ratio mass spectrometers, and ICP emission spectrometers. We also conduct comprehensive analyses based on these techniques. The NMR spectrometers in our laboratory are stably operated through helium recovery and reuse, enabling a wide range of applications from routine analysis (400 MHz) to advanced analysis using a high-field spectrometer (800 MHz). We are also engaged in metabolomics analyses using NMR (500 MHz, 700 MHz) and high-resolution LC-MS, as well as imaging analyses using MRI (400 MHz WB) and imaging MS. In addition, we collaborate on regulatory science research in response to government needs. For example, we conduct quantitative analyses of trace harmful chemical substances, such as mycotoxins.
