08. Serovar of Salmonella choleraesuis subsp. choleraesuis isolated from domestic animals

We studied for serovar distribution of Salmonella choleraesuis subsp. choleraesuis isolated from bovine, swine and chicken in Japan from 1980 to 1995. A total of 1,226 isolates were classified into 59 serovars. 84.3% of bovine isolates were occupied by serovar Dublin and Typhimurium. 71.2% of swine isolates were occupied by serovar Choleraesuis, Typhimurium and Derby. Chicken isolates were classified into 49 serovars.
