In achieving sustainable agriculture, addressing global environmental change has become a major challenge. Large-scale climate change and environmental shifts raise concerns that agricultural crop production may significantly decline or become increasingly unstable in the future. In addition, the inappropriate or excessive use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers is feared to place heavy burdens on the environment and cause secondary degradation of natural ecosystems. To address these issues, our research development focuses on elucidating the functions of plants and the microorganisms that inhabit their surrounding environments, and on developing innovative technologies that leverage this knowledge to simultaneously enhance crop productivity and conserve the environment.
