Labor saving is important for livestock farmers because they need large amount of time for feed supply, breed management, and manure disposal. In addition, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the livestock industry have become a major problem worldwide.
The Smart Livestock Facilities Group will develop technologies to collect and utilize data from milking robots and other devices and build digital models of livestock facilities. It also aims to reduce nitrogen and GHG emissions through technologies such as composting and nitrogen removal in sewage purification treatment.
Smart technology is also being promoted in the field of beekeeping. We are aiming to establish efficient beekeeping technology using images and sensors.
