Geographical spread and evolution of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza viruses

Date of Publication:

The diversification of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) viruses is closely linked to the movements of wild birds, highlighting the importance of continued monitoring of viral dynamics. We will continue whole-genome analyses to improve our understanding of virus transmission dynamics both in Japan and abroad, and to support the strengthening of disease prevention and control measures.
