Zentsuji City

Zentsuji City is a city located in the northwest part of Kagawa Prefecture. Kukai, the founder of Shingon Buddhism, one of the major schools of Buddhism in Japan, flourished as a Zentsuji temple town, which was founded by Kukai to serve his father, Yoshimichi (Zentsu) SAEKI, and the city's name comes from here. Many public institutions, such as the GSDF camp, the Medical Center of the National Hospital Organization, NARO's Shikoku Research Center, and missionary universities, are located in the central area, making up a unique urban area. With little rain, winter is relatively warm and there are rarely snow covers in the level ground.
