In the Production Management Group, we develop crop management systems capable of producing high-quality vegetable crops such as cabbage and sweet potato while saving labor. For cabbage, we aim to realize a system that is characterized by producing and distributing cabbage at right time. The techniques to support this system includes prediction of right harvest timings and precise fertilization which are based on crop growth simulation and fertilizing machinery of specific quality. For sweet potato, we aim to breed new cultivars enabling export expansion and labor-saving production techniques based on mechanization.
