History of IAM/NARO
- Oct. 1962 Institute of Agricultural Machinery was founded.
- Oct. 1986 Bio-oriented Technology Research Advancement Institution (BRAIN) was founded as legally approved corporation.
- Oct. 2003 IAM and BRAIN were integrated as an incorporated administrative agency.
- Apr. 2006 IAM-BRAIN was reorganized under the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO).
- Apr. 2016 IAM and BRAIN were reorganized as separate institutions under NARO.
- Apr. 2021 Reorganized
