We developed monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs) against the nucleocapsid and the membrane proteins of equine arteritis virus (EAV). To determine which open reading frame encodes the structural proteins of EAV, proteins were expressed by the baculovirus expression system and characterized their antigenic properties with the MoAbs.
