06. In vitro susceptibility of Mycoplasma hyosynoviae and M. hyorhinis to antimicrobial agents

Japanese

Japanese strains of Mycoplasma hyorhinis isolated from piglets with respiratory diseases and M. hyosynoviae isolated from porkers were investigated for the in vitro susceptibilities of 13 antimicrobial agents. Tiamulin and enrofloxacin showed higher activity than the others. Some strains of M. hyorhinis or M. hyosynoviae showed resistance to all macrolides tested. These strains were considered to have an inducible resistance.
