20. Molecular typing of Enterohaemorrhagic Escherichia coli O157 isolated from cattle

Japanese

We examined by comparison genotypes for elucidating the differences of Enterohaemorrhagic Escherichia coli O157 strains isolated from cattle and from patients. Results of DNA pattern analysis by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis indicated that extremely variable DNA patterns were recognized among strains isolated from cattle. No epidemiological relationships were found, small numbers in their strains were clarified genotypically as the same with the strians isolated from patients.
