Livestock farmers use many kinds of facilities.
These include barns to keep animals, milking facilities to collect milk, and facilities to treat animal manure and urine.
In our research area, we try to improve how these livestock facilities are managed.
Our goal is to make farm work easier, increase animal productivity, and reduce harm to the environment.
For example, we are developing robots that can greatly reduce working time and labor, and facilities to treat dirty water.
We also study better barn designs and feeding methods so that animals can live comfortably.
In addition, we work on technologies to reduce things that are bad for the environment, such as bad smells, polluted water, and greenhouse gases.
We also do research to keep beekeeping healthy, which is important for pollination of crops and for producing honey.
By sharing these research results widely with livestock farms, we aim to reduce the burden on farmers and achieve livestock farming that is kind to animals and friendly to the environment.
