Pathophysiology Group

Pathophysiology Group studies production-related diseases—such as metabolic and reproductive disorders and peripartum diseases—as well as opportunistic infections like diarrhea and pneumonia, and poisoning caused by harmful chemicals, all of which hinder high-level productivity in livestock.
To support efficient monitoring of livestock health, we also develop technologies for early disease detection using biosensing approaches such as computer vision and wearable devices, along with systems that automatically alert farmers to abnormalities. In addition, we are responsible for biochemical diagnostics, addressing metabolic disorders and toxicities in livestock.
