24. An economic evaluation of the tick-eradication program in Kuroshima island, Okinawa, Japan

The cost-benefit analysis was used to evaluate the tick (Boophilus microplus) and babesiosis eradication program performed in Kuroshima island, Okinawa in l987. The cost-benefit ratio was 1 : 1.32., which demonstrated the economical justification of this program.
