14. In vitro isolation and characterization of the bovine Neospora sp. in Japan

Brain and spinal cords obtained from aborted bovine fetuses and congenitally infected calves, which were suspected to be infected with Neospora sp., were used for in vitro isolation. Neospora sp. were successfully isolated and its immunological reactivities were found to be similar to those isolated in the U.S.A..
