In the Department of Greenhouse Productivity Research, we promote research, development, and social implementation aimed at improving productivity and strengthening industrial competitiveness through the smartization of production processes, in order to address the diverse challenges surrounding vegetable production. Centered on growth and yield prediction technologies based on growth models and data utilization, we will establish smart greenhouse production systems that integrate sensing-linked automatic control technologies, production technologies that mitigate high-temperature stress, and labor-saving robotic technologies. Furthermore, by serving as a hub for related companies and industry stakeholders, we will advance the standardization and harmonization of these technologies and promote their deployment both domestically and internationally. In addition, we will develop environmentally low-impact production technologies that contribute to zero-emission goals, including the utilization of unused energy resources and improvements in energy efficiency.
