03. Establishment of two different MHC-homozygous lines in the Japanese quail

Japanese

Two Japanese quail lines which were selected for high and low antibody-productivity were shown to have homogenous MHC patterns by Southern blotting techniques.
These partly inbred lines which have the advantages of homogenous MHC haplotypes and genetic uniformity are useful experimental animals for immunology and virology.
