Administration of combined gonadotropins with 400 IU PMSG and 200 IU hCG to 6 months old prepuberal gilts effectively induced fertile estrus. By the induced estrus pregnancy was effected,and normal parturition and post-weaning estrus were brought about. It was demonstrated that the gonadotropin treatment produced early sexual maturation in prepuberal gilts.
