Analizing the genomic RNA of African horsesickness virus (AHSV), the RT-PCR method to RNA segment 3 (VP3 gene) was developed. By using this RT-PCR, the virus RNA was detected from all serotypes of AHSV and its rapidity and sensitivity were high.
